Research Statement:
My research has been focused on discovering a means of fruitful dialogue and debate regarding the apparently different interpretations of the meaning of human experience as found in the ancient/medieval philosophical traditions on the one hand and modern idealist philosophical traditions on the other. To this end, I find the philosophy of Karol  Wojtyła  very valuable. It is often under represented in the English speaking world and underestimated philosophically in general.

 Teaching:

I’ve always been fascinated with what might be called “foundational knowledge” or the basic principles of a given discipline.  This led me to study abroad and in a wide variety of schools in order to obtain the teaching skills to evoke in students the hunger for such learning .  I find truth is most accurately represented when it is not associated with an agenda and that it rarely can be.
